TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM FOR TRAVEL:
WHICH COUNTRIES ARE RED, AMBER, GREEN ?
The UK is moving out of lockdown, and we know that you (like us) are itching to get away and back to nature.
The long-awaited traffic light system has been announced. And here is how our safari and wildlife destinations fit into this system.
Before you read on, remember that :
-
We can help you to arrange PCR tests before you travel abroad.
-
We can arrange your pre-departure PCR test before you head home after your safari.
-
We will do our best to monitor as countries move hopefully towards green, but please call us to discuss if you have a question about the current status of a country you are particularly interested in visiting.
GREEN:
A PCR test before you set off *Depending on the airline and destination.
A pre-departure test, usually not more than 72hrs before you fly back.
One PCR test on or before day two after arrival back in the UK.
No quarantine unless a test is positive.
AMBER:
A PCR test before you set off *Depending on the airline and destination.
A pre-departure test, usually not more than 72hrs before you fly back.
Quarantine at home for 10 days on arrival. Whilst complying with the PCR test requirements.
Notes:
-
You may be able to end self-isolation after day 5 through the ‘Test to ‘Release’ scheme if you pay for a private coronavirus (COVID-19) test.
-
You must still take the 2 coronavirus tests you booked before you travelled. Find out more about the tests you must book and take.
-
There are rumours that fully vaccinated people could potentially avoid quarantine. This has not yet been confirmed.
RED:
A PCR test before you set off *Depending on the airline and destination.
